Why insulation matters in a Perth garage

Stick-on foam kits exist, but be careful. They add weight the springs were never set for, so the door gets heavy by hand and the opener works harder. On a roller door they can stop the curtain coiling properly. If you fit one, have the balance checked afterwards, and never adjust the spring tension yourself; it is the one part of a door that can seriously injure you.
