Steel-Line garage doors are supplied, installed, serviced and repaired across Perth by our technicians. The range covers roller, sectional, tilt and commercial doors, so the repair depends far more on which type you have than on the badge — we identify it on site and quote the work before anything is touched.

One Name, Four Very Different Doors

Steel-Line is the largest garage door manufacturer in Australia and its catalogue is unusually wide: the same brand covers a plain single roller door on a 1990s villa and a custom-clad sectional on a new architect-drawn build. That matters when you ring for a repair, because a Steel-Line tilt door and a Steel-Line roller door have almost nothing mechanically in common beyond the name on the sticker.

Tilt doors are the ones worth calling out. There are far fewer of them going in now, but Perth still has thousands of them on older homes, and they use a counterbalance arrangement that a technician has to actually know. A tilt door with a tired spring does not get heavy the way a roller door does — it starts snatching, and the arms take the strain until something bends.

For the roller and sectional ranges it is the usual list: springs losing tension, rollers and hinges drying out, tracks knocked out of line, and the odd panel that has met a reversing car. All of it is repairable more often than not, and we will say plainly when the maths stops working in favour of a repair.

Parts & panels

Steel-Line panels, curtains and hardware

A national manufacturer with a range this wide keeps most of its current profiles available, so a damaged sectional panel or a roller curtain can usually be matched rather than the whole door being written off. The catch is the age of the door: a Custom Collection face from ten years ago may have moved on, and a discontinued profile means either a close alternative or a full replacement. We check availability before you commit, not after.

Hardware — springs, cables, rollers, hinges, brackets — is standard and rated to the door's weight, and a Steel-Line double sectional is a very different load from a single roller. Tilt doors are the exception worth flagging: their counterbalance parts are specific, and getting one wrong is how a door ends up snatching. For a section swap see panel replacement; if the door is genuinely finished, compare the alternatives at new garage doors in Perth.

Steel-Line parts sourced to the correct rating for your door — never a substitute that happens to fit.
