Centurion Garage Doors has manufactured in Western Australia since 1976 and supplies the Euro 1250 opener alongside its sectional and roller ranges. Like most manufacturer-supplied openers, it tends to be exactly as old as the door beneath it, so when one starts playing up the other is usually due for attention as well.
The name causes genuine confusion. Search for a Centurion remote and you will find plenty of results for Centurion Systems, a completely separate gate-automation company. Their remotes, receivers and boards have nothing to do with a Centurion garage door opener, and buying one is a wasted afternoon. If you are unsure, photograph the label on the head unit and send it with your quote.
Beyond that it is standard opener work. Limits drift and the door starts stopping short. Capacitors and gears wear, especially where the door's torsion springs have gone soft and the motor is doing their job. Safety beams get knocked out of line and the door reverses just before it closes. All ordinary repairs on a sound unit.
