Avanti
Avanti garage door openers are installed, serviced and repaired across Perth by our technicians. The SDO sectional and RDO roller units are straightforward motors, and most call-outs come down to limits, remotes, capacitors or a gear kit — we tell you plainly when a repair is worth doing and when the unit has had its run.

Avanti openers are distributed through Australian installers and turn up on a lot of Perth garages, usually paired with a sectional or roller door from another manufacturer entirely. The SDO4 drives the rail above a panel-lift door; the RDO units sit beside the drum on a roller door. Neither is exotic, which is good news when something needs fixing.
The most common call is a remote that has stopped talking to the opener — often after a battery change, sometimes after a power event, occasionally because the unit's memory has filled up with remotes from years ago. That is a coding job, not a fault, and it is done in the driveway.
After that it is the usual wear. Travel and force limits drift as a door ages, so it starts stopping short or pushing too hard at the floor. Capacitors weaken and a motor hums without pulling. Gear kits wear, especially on units that have spent years dragging a door whose springs went soft long ago — which is why we always check the door before condemning the opener.
Names to look for on the label — we work on all of them.

Most call-outs end in a repair. Here is how we decide — and what we would say if it were our own garage.
We fit belt-drive openers with soft start and stop, a safety reverse and phone control, matched to the weight and type of your door rather than to whatever is nearest to hand. The old unit goes with us, and the technician who quotes it is the one who fits it.
A motor is only ever as good as the door under it, so the springs and balance get checked and set before the new opener is trusted with the weight.

Call with your address and we will give you an arrival window, not a whole-day wait.
Tell us what it is doing and whether the door is a roller or a sectional — that is usually enough to arrive with the right part.
